Peran WHO dalam Memberikan Panduan terhadap Peraturan di Indonesia terkait Penanganan Penyebaran Penyakit dari Limbah Medis Covid-19

Abstract


Masalah pengolahan limbah medis menjadi salah satu perhatian utama banyak negara di dunia. Limbah medis berkontribusi dalam mempercepat penyebaran banyak penyakit menular, dan penting untuk melakukan studi tentang pengelolaan limbah ini, termasuk pengolahan limbah medis. Sebagai anggota WHO, Indonesia juga perlu menangani masalah ini. Fokus utama dari tulisan ini adalah implementasi peran WHO dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut, khususnya dalam menetapkan peraturan pengolahan sampah di negara-negara anggota WHO, khususnya Indonesia. Tulisan ini akan difokuskan untuk menganalisis penerapan berbagai undang-undang pengelolaan sampah di tingkat internasional dan nasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan sosio-legal dengan kajian melalui ilmu sosiologi, lingkungan, dan kesehatan serta pendekatan hukum normatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan berbagai regulasi di tingkat internasional dan nasional, seiring dengan peran penting WHO dalam penanganan limbah medis di era Covid-19. Kerjasama internasional ke nasional sangat diperlukan, terutama antara berbagai elemen masyarakat, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan dampak buruk limbah medis.
